MORE ABOUT THE RN REGISTERED NURSE POSITION:
CareerStaff Unlimited partners with companies around the country to raise the bar in healthcare by setting new standards for quality care and personalized service. Responsibilities for this Registered Nurse opportunity include, but are not limited to:
- Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive professional image
- Work independently with attention to detail and possess the necessary knowledge of all aspects of daily operations
- Foster a caring environment that respects patient's dignity
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with life-limiting illnesses, considering physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial factors
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments, collaborating with the interdisciplinary hospice team and considering patient and family goals
- Conduct regular home visits to assess patients' conditions, evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, and address any emerging issues
- Manage and monitor pain and symptoms associated with the terminal illness, adjusting interventions to ensure optimal comfort and quality of life
- Administer medications as prescribed for symptom control, addressing side effects and monitoring the effectiveness of pain management
- Educate patients and their families on the disease process, treatment options, and the goals of hospice care, promoting understanding and involvement in decision-making
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient assessments, care plans, interventions, and communication with the hospice team, in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Be a model of professionalism and compassion with serving as an ambassador to this organization
- On-call: every other week
JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE RN REGISTERED NURSE:
- 1+ years of recent hospice experience required
- HCHB experience highly preferred
- BLS issued through American Heart Association
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- RN license in New Mexico
- Reliable transportation
